No injuries were reported during the attack, but according to CNN it did instill a sense of panic in people. The central station was closed and evacuated along with two other stations in the city. A witness told CNN he heard “Allah Akbar” before the heavy gunfire from authorities.

The failed bombing  comes a little over a year after suicide bombers attacked the Brussels Airport and nearby Metro station by detonating several explosions. 31 people died in the attack and hundreds were injured.
